Data Access Tools & Services

OASIS data can be accessed in a number of ways. This page provides guidelines and instructions to help you select and implement the most appropriate access mechanism for your situation. Prior to accessing the data, please read and consent to the data use agreement.


Options:   1) Website     2) FTP    
 
1) Download from the website
Use this method if you want to work with just a few of the images.

Instructions:
1. Navigate to the imaging session of interest.
2. Click on the 'Download' link in the Actions box.
3. Select the desired images and download format. Note: If you assign the .xar file extension to 3D Slicer, Slicer will automatically extract and display the images.
4. Save the downloaded file to your hard drive.
5. Extract and use the data.

 
2.1) Download using FTP (OASIS - Cross-sectional)
Use this method if you want to work with a large portion of the data and have 50 GB of available disc space that you can dedicate to storing OASIS data. Note that each data bundle is approximately 4.5 GB.

Instructions (from command line or FTP client tool):
1. Connect to the OASIS FTP server hosted by NRG at ftp.nrg.wustl.edu ('ftp ftp.nrg.wustl.edu').
2. Login as 'anonymous' and provide your email address as password.
3. Navigate to the desired OASIS data directory ('cd data')
4. Request one or more of the tarred image bundles ('get oasis_cross-sectional_disc1.tar.gz').
5. Extract and use the data.

2.2) Download using FTP (OASIS - Longitudinal)

Instructions (from command line or FTP client tool):
1. Connect to the OASIS FTP server hosted by NRG at ftp.nrg.wustl.edu ('ftp ftp.nrg.wustl.edu').
2. Login as 'anonymous' and provide your email address as password.
3. Navigate to the desired OASIS data directory ('cd data')
4. Request the two tarred image bundles ('get OAS2_RW_PART1.tar.gz' AND 'get OAS2_RW_PART2.tar.gz').
5. Extract and use the data.
